This is My form of how to Role play. If you're not familiar with role playing and you're just starting out, that's fine. We'll all help you, I for the most part will be more into giving you in dept lessons and examples if you'd ever like to get a full grasp on it.
Role play is generally made up of two or more people playing out a fantasy (fictional) character they or some one else have created. A character can be anything from a tiny mouse to a giant cyclops, role play is mostly about fantasy and the make believe. Others use role play for story writing or to fill out their wishes to which they can't do in real life.
To break it down simply, role play is as it sounds. Picking a Role in a Play and Acting, in this case typing, it out to the best of your ability.
There are two types of characters in a story, static and dynamic.
A static character doesn't change. They rarely make several appearances. They're one dimensional and remain the same at all times.
We don't want any of these kinds of characters in the board.
A dynamic character changes. A dynamic character will change their appearance, they're reactions to others and grow like we our selves do. These characters are our main characters. They are three dimensional and can be played more realistically than a static character.
We welcome these types of characters on the board.
Role play is fairly simple. It's much like writing a book but your main character has little control over the other characters helping to write it.
The format of a descriptive book is complex, however. it contains the characters general appearance, how they dress, their body shape, their colorations, their speech, their actions, how they move, their surroundings, and some times a little glimpse of their history. This all has to be included in a story for readers to see your character. And yes, this means your posts too.
Short terms, net speak, 1337, all the computer talk is not allowed in role play. Role play is about being creative and as literate as one can be.
To be continued....
